Artist Talk | Kate McElroy

Kate McElroy is a multi-disciplinary artist whose work encompasses drawing, video, ceramics, photography, mixed media and performance. Themes of growth, tension and release and the mind/body relationship are integral to her work.

In this talk, Kate will introduce her practice and discuss her ideas, processes and reasons for making.

We Only Want the Earth: Project Award 2 Open Call

A4 Sounds in partnership with Fire Station Artists’ Studios and Migrants and Ethnic-Minorities for Reproductive Justice (MERJ) invite applications from migrant and ethnic minority artists, including members of the Travelling community, for a six-month project award as part of the We Only Want the Earth 2020 programme. A4 Sounds in partnership with Create: National Development Agency for Collaborative Arts and Movement of Asylum Seekers Ireland (MASI) invite applications from artists who are seeking or have sought international protection in Ireland, for a four-month residency award as part of the We Only Want the Earth 2020 programme. The residency will run from May to August 2020. The residency opportunity aims to support an artist based in Ireland to develop their arts practice.
