Hugh Harte

When not talking about himself in the third person, Hugh is tinkerer, maker and a partially reformed artist whose work includes mechanical sculpture, interactive installation, all manner of digital media, as well as occasional set and prop design and construction.

Most recently, he has made a playful apparatus for investigating colour for an event in Rua Red as part of a long term and continuing series of public events in the field of Arts & Health, after recent events in conjunction with Dublin City Council Library Service, the Mater Hospital and St Patrick’s Hospital.

We Only Want the Earth Artist Talks

We Only Want the Earth is a 12-month programme of awards, exhibitions, and events that seeks to interrogate the goals and strategies of social change: what kind of society do we want and how should we get there?

Join us for our first artist talk of the programme with our artists in residence Chris Hinojosa and Áine O’Hara. Both artists will present their practice to date and talk about the work they intend to make over the coming months.
