Come one, come all, for a celebratory seasonal shindig wrapping up our year of toil and triumph with a night of eclectic performances in the intimate and comfy confines of our new favourite local establishment, Bleecker St Café Bar, just across from our studio.

Along with the best good cheer and much merriment, expect an evening of wondrous and varied home-grown songwriting and spoken-word talent, from the haunting and hypnotic sounds of Patrick Kelleher (featuring Brian Coniffe), to the poetic hybrid hop-hop performance stylings of Andre K’Por and a rare performance from the idiosyncratic anti-folk Dublin troubadour Big Monster Love. Meanwhile, DJ Dave Kelly will be taking us into the wee hours with his own brand of power pop delight!

All funds raised on the night will go towards installing workshop facilities for our members.

Doors €10 // €6 for A4 Studio Members

Patrick Kelleher
Vicar_St_02.11.14_1

Dublin-based Patrick Kelleher has been making echo-drenched ghost pop since 2008. His performances, cryptic yet honest communications, are at once soberly engaging and eerily detached.
Evolving out of the frenzy of his Cold Dead Hands, the instrumentation of Kelleher’s solo act has been stripped to little more than his somnolent vocals, heavy beats and sporadic arpeggios.

Big Monster Love
Big Monster Love has been called “the anti-folk poet of North County Dublin”, with a live show renowned for impromtu bouts of comical banter. His songs are sincere, enchanting and entertaining, with an unaffected lyrical style that takes in such lesser-spotted subjects as internet dating, 90s megamix discos and lots of local flavour. He can be one of only very few artists who’s been tricked into contributing to a tribute album to himself, compiled by Popical Island a couple of years back.

You can listen to his album “Game Over” at http://bigmonsterlove.bandcamp.com/ and poke around his previous releases here. Also check out the awesome stop-motion video for his cult anthem “Free Gaff Forever” above.

Andre K’por is a spoken word performer whose work bridges the gap between poetry and hip-hop. He was born in the city of Sarajevo a couple of years before the Balkans war, and has lived a relatively nomadic life since. Writing since the age of eight, and performing his work regularly in front of audiences since fifteen, he has established a distinct range of performance styles adaptable to a variety of settings, from the most prestigious festivals, to the dingiest of basements.
