The show will be taking an in-depth look at the contemporary arts scene in Dublin and how it has flourished over the past four years despite the recession. The show will be aimed at artists, arts workers, and those with an interest in the visual arts.

This week we feature artist and musician Matt Hedigan form A4 Sounds during his first exhibition, we visit The Market Studios where we have a natter with Deirdre Morrissey & Claire Behan. We also profile the last artist from the Generator Group Exhibition Laura De Burca.”

It was our final party at the towers so we are delighted so many people came to support Matt and help us raise much needed funds for our new studio. Special thanks to Katie Kim, Owensie and Rory Francis O’Brien for playing an awesome gig for us!!

If you missed the first call out’ Matt is looking for people to email him an interesting photograph of themselves, from any angle or in any position. He is aiming for 100 images in total which he will then draw, ink or paint in a range of style which will be exhibited in September. Sales from the exhibition will be in aid of the A4 Sounds Studio in Harold’s Cross.

“I’m going to spend 30 seconds on some, maybe an hour on others so hopefully there will be a fairly wide spectrum. Some of them might actually be alright, a lot of them will more than likely be dodgy as fuck. Buts that’s grand.”

Rules for submissions;

No crap selfies please.
No pictures of you scoring a goal for your local Under11′s team, taken by your dad, you get the idea.
A picture you took especially for this project, sitting down, standing up, profile, whatever you think really.

You can email photos to mhedigan19@gmail.com.

Dearest Facebookeens, (and internet worldeens!)

I’ve given myself a bit of a project and it’d be great if i could get as much help as possible from everyone out there in cyberschpace.

In a nutshell, what I’m looking to do is to get people to email or PM me a photograph of themselves, no particular angle or position, Hopefully I’ll get around one hundred or (hopefully) more. The plan then is to draw/ink/paint the submissions and have a exhibition in a few months time in aid of paying bills and things for A4 sounds in Harolds cross.
