On Wednesday the 12th of November we’ll be having our next ‘How To Be An Artist’ session on ZOOM. This one will cover goals, ambitions, and all about valuing your time as an artist with our special guest Kerry Guinan! You really won’t want to miss the information Kerry has to share with us on these subjects.Â
Kerry Guinan is a conceptual, interdisciplinary artist. Her practice brings social and spatial relations into focus through local and international art projects.
Guinan has a PhD in artistic practice from TUS: Midwest (2024). She is currently an artistic researcher at the Centre for Art and the Political Imaginary, a centre for excellence in artistic research at HDK Valand & the Royal Institute of Art, Sweden. She is supported by the Arts Council of Ireland, Fingal County Council, and Limerick City Council.
Recent projects include ‘Cosmic Debris’ (2024), a residency and group exhibition at the National Space Centre and Greywood Arts, Cork, Looking for a Sign: Contemporary Art, Magic, and Language (2024), editor of an art publication published by Durty Words, Ireland, and ‘Apocalypse Anxieties’ (2024), guest curator and artist of a group exhibition at the Luan Gallery, Athlone.
