What will you learn?
This is a workshop in how to use our specific equipment allowing you to access the facility confidently day to day by yourself.

First Session: How To Strip & Coat A Screen
You will learn about the different mesh counts and what they can be used for.
Then we will strip a screen and learn about the chemicals used.
Stripping a screen can take a bit of time depending on how long it has been coated. You will need to be patient for this bit!
Finally each person will coat a screen and we’ll talk about diff types of emulsions and which to use in A4.
We will then leave the screens to dry

Second Session: Printing/Making Acetates, Exposing A Screen,  Printing & Washing A Screen

You are welcome to bring your own image.
Then we will then expose screen using the exposure unit in the workshop
We will then wash & dry the screens upstairs
Finally we will do some printing using the printing press and learn about diff types of inks and squeegees.
