Date & Time:

29 April, 2026 @ 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm

ABOUT

On Wednesday the 29th of April (18:30 – 21:00) &  Sunday the 10th May (10:30 – 12:30) Aideen will be running the next Facility training for the Ceramics area.

Participants will be shown the basics on how to navigate our facilities (such as the kiln) so you can use them independently, with confidence.

In the first session on Wed 29th April (18:30 – 21:00), Aideen will demonstrate the steps involved in the making of paper clay and how to work with it in the workshop to create some simple forms and pull reliefs from plaster bats.

Once these pieces have dried between this first session and the second session on Sunday 10th May (10:30 – 12:30), you will then be shown how to fire these pieces; demonstrated using the A4 kiln.

This introductory course is suitable for anyone interested in working with clay and using the kiln in A4.

You will need to bring a simple line drawing to be used in this workshop.

Training is mandatory to use this facility independently
