AN TIONSCADAL DROMCHLA EXHIBITION 00 offers the first public view into Lydia’s long term story-telling and world-building project. Consisting of 5 short stories and a gallery show, the collection explores relinquishing your physical self and achieving transcendence, the sabotage of a research experiment, the intimacy of transition, what we leave behind on monolithic server racks and the disappearance of a suburb.
LYDIA MACBRIDE
Lydia MacBride is a self-taught digital artist and musician working across multiple mediums including graphic design, 3D modelling, illustration and web design. Lydia utilizes these mediums in her storytelling to explore themes of anti-colonialism, anti-capitalism, Irish language and folklore and magic.
Lydia is the recipient of We Only Want the Earth 2022, Residency Award One.

Join us for the closing event of AN TIONSCADAL DROMCHAL EXHIBITION 00 on Saturday 29th October!
AN TIONSCADAL DROMCHAL EXHIBITION 00 is in four parts, a gallery exhibition, a series of 5 publications, an album and a digitial experience.
On Saturday the full audio from the project will be played in the gallery for audiences to enjoy. .
On arrival you will be invited to view the exhibition and/or have a drink in our garden (byob).
You will be then invited to listen to the album in full. The album is 50 mins long and will be followed by a short conversation between audience and artist.

Exhibition Specifc Information
The gallery is completely white with a white subfloor.
There are a number of sculptures in the room including 2 large pillars, a desk with some computer objects and an overhead projector.
There are large text pieces and drawings painted onto the walls.
There are prints and lightboxes hanging on the walls.
There is an an audio piece playing in the gallery. It is an experimental electronic music sound piece playing through speakers throughout the gallery space.
The sound piece will move around the gallery coming from different speakers at different times. It does not contain harsh noises and is not played at a loud volume.

Our gallery is located on the ground floor and is accessible.
There is a small ramp into the gallery space.
There is a wooden subfloor in the gallery space
There is no seating in the gallery space but comfortable seating can be provided.
Bathrooms:
Our bathrooms are gender-neutral
Our bathrooms are not wheelchair accessible. They are located on the first floor via a flight of stairs (approx 22 steps) so may also be inaccessible for people with movement impairments.
