Richard Reep

ARTIST BIO

Richard Reep is a Yank who steals people’s trash, makes stuff out of it, and tries to sell it back to them as art. Now a Dubliner, he’s mostly doing the same thing except for the last part. While Richard was studying architecture at the University of Florida, his professors caught him taking art classes and very nearly threw him out. Since then he’s honed an uncanny ability to provoke the authorities. Richard recently earned a Diploma in African-Centered Architecture from the Center for Planning and Design, and has been a student of Afrofuturism, citing Dr. Scot French and Dr. Julian Chambliss as two of his influences.
