GHOST HOUSE
SPOOKY BEORE x A4 SOUNDS
9TH – 13TH DEC 2022 | A4 Sounds Gallery
Have you had a paranormal experience in rental, other or non owned accommodation? Have you been affected by ghostly phenomena while on a weekend getaway to an air bnb in Dingle? Is there an unexplained, but entirely palpable, air of dread hanging over you every waking minute in the place that you are living? Are you unsure whether this dark mood is a supernatural presence or related to the black-mold you recently discovered growing in your shower? Do you have a feeling of always being watched while you sleep – could this be a ghost, or is it because your bed is in a shared kitchen? You are not alone.
Spooky Beore would like to invite you to take part in Ghost House – an ongoing multi-medium participatory arts project which taps into the traditions of oral folklore to record and explore haunting both as a supernatural experience and, as a tangible, rational reaction to the commodification of our most basic human need for shelter, warmth, security and belonging. They will host two days of story recording and information collecting, inviting interested folks to bring objects, materials and items relating to paranormal experiences in living situations in order to manifest a physical ghost house in the gallery.
