Artist Biography
Samantha Mc Caffrey is a mixed-media artist with a background in youth/ community arts.
She works with mark-making, painting, collage, sewing and 3-D. She often uses non-
traditional materials as well as material from the natural world. Samantha is interested in
all elements of the natural world, nature’s processes and organisms. Her work is often
inspired by, or directly uses, organic matter, organic forms, shapes, patterns or textures.
Samantha’s work engages in personal history. She values the capacity of visual art to express
what can’t be said easily or as coherently in any other way.
