Deirdre Ambrose is an artist who works across a range of mediums, with a particular interest in the digital media and the moving image. She also uses photography, drawing, print digital media and writing as tools to engage with and position herself within the environment.

In 2008 she completed an MA in Visual Arts Practice from IADT, and has trained in digital media, video editing and group facilitation skills. Through her interest in community, media, and education she has been involved in a diverse range of projects as mentor, teacher and workshop facilitator. She recently designed and implemented ‘Is This IT? a multimedia art program for teenagers in the Aoibhneas Refuge, as part of a long standing work relationship with Women’s Aid.

She has exhibited solo and collaborated with numerous artists, musicians and creative organizations, fostering cross-disciplinary collaboration for audiovisual projects, creative design and illustration. She is currently participating in the Web Elevate program, a 1-year digital skills training course in the Digital Hub, specializing in Web Video.
