Ros Lee is a Singapore-born designer that has been living and working in Japan since 2005. After several years of working as an in-house designer, Ros decided to strike out on her own. In 2011 she began working as a design consultant and officially launched the Polkaros brand.
“Polkaros will be showcasing their first handcrafted collection of lifestyle products in their upcoming exhibition and pop up store in Tokyo. The event will be held at Galerie Doux Dimanche Aoyama from 10 － 27 December, 2013. This collection consists of uniquely handcrafted ceramic flower pots and planters, Japanese traditional fabric, Tenugui, gift wrapping paper with original Polkaros patterns and more.
The Polkaros Parade is a gathering of Polkaros designed characters and a celebration of colors, patterns and items that were crafted to add a touch of warmth to a home and put smiles on faces. Polkaros products are inspired by traditional Japanese crafts, but influenced by modern Tokyo lifestyles, offering a mix of classic and modern.”

“The Northsiders’ Museum is a place for memories, tall tales and maybe even some songs, as told to us by the people of the Northside of Dublin, Ireland.
The Museum is a ‘pop-up’ museum currently housed within an empty shop space beside the Post Office in the Northside Shopping Centre.
The Museum is interested in making visible the culture of Coolock, Artane, Darndale, Belcamp, Priorswood and adjacent areas. Come in and tell us your stories, sing us a song, show us your photographs. The Museum is both a recording point for living culture and a space that interrogates place-making in the context of suburbias built for specific communities.”

3pm-5pm – Circuit Bending Workshop with Andy Edgar
6pm-8pm – Gamepak Performance
Circuit bending is the creative short-circuiting & modification of the circuitry of kid’s toys or battery-powered musical instruments to create strange, outlandish, unintended, and unpredictable sounds. By building in controls, adding switches or knobs you can control these sounds to create new, unique instruments.
If interested we would ask people to bring along a battery-powered, sound-making electronic device to tinker with. Charity shops are a good hang out for suitable devices! Not every toy can be bent, but in any event there’ll be some extra toys provided to mess with – and all tools and additional components will be provided. The workshop is suitable for complete beginners to the more advanced who wish to develop their skills.
2pm-5pm – Tea Party with Naive Ted

“Released today. Alien Hand’s ‘Be Seeing You’ gets the rework treatment from the brilliant Encrypter.
Complimenting the original but drastically different. Encrypter is carving a reputation in being the go to guy for techno on the heaviest electronics.
A free download but… available for one week only so grab it quick.”
Activity books cost 3 euro. All proceeds go towards running costs of our studio.
If you would like one please get in contact via A4SOUNDS at gmail dot com. Some will be available at the Harold’s Cross Community Festival tomorrow too!
