Eoin Whelehan is an animator turned illustrator based in Dublin. He predominately works in digital media, with an emphasis on original character-based illustrations.

Eoin will be talking about creative inspiration, the ‘1%’  of the process that can make all the other work worth while. He will revisit some of his projects that may, or may not have benefited from it.

Artist Talk | Kate O’Shea

Kate O’Shea is an artist with a broad social practice that includes printmaking, sculpture, curating and publishing. Her work stems from a concern for contemporary social structures and the fractures within them; she established her first social space at the age of 19.

This talk will focus on her most recent project, ‘Durty Words’, a book that brings together 60 artists, activists and writers from around the world, responding to the relevance of anarchist theory and practice today. This work is co-produced with designer Victoria Brunetta as part of an MA by Research at Limerick School of Art & Design, focused on the question of how we create spaces of dialogue and solidarity where alternatives to capitalism can be visualised, discussed and acted upon.
