New Studio New A4!! If you have a few minutes we’d love some input from all you creative people!

So this week we are finalising everything with our new building. We should have the keys by the end of the week!!

St Joseph’s Parade is much bigger than our previous studio. At 5000 sq ft we can house more creative people and build a bigger community around making! The building was previously a print work shop and is split over 2 levels. Downstairs will house a large workshop and screen-printing area on one side and a Gallery and event space the other. The gallery space opens out onto a large yard with access for cars and vans for those that work big!

Upstairs there are seven large studio spaces, a kitchen and bathrooms. These studios will be open planned. Some will have personal desks for members the rest will be shared.

Over the first year will be be building a recording studio, offering affordable rates for sound engineers who have clients waiting in the wings! We we also be offering rehearsal space for bands, more on this after we tease out the details!

As before we will have a darkroom, workshop, electronics area and screen-printing facilities, but we want to know what you actually want from a studio so we can build a space that supports our members properly and offers a different model to the traditional artist studio. If you have a spare couple of minutes please fill in our survey here or below and share it around. We need as much information about the real needs of potential members as possible to do our work well.

If you are interested in becoming a member pleas fill out our contact form

Thanks
A4 Team
